Hello Everyone,

First off let me say that the first Encore Tutorial is AWESOME and was a great help!! That being said, Ive 99.99% completed my DVD menu for my Wedding video and burned a disk.

When I pop the dvd into either of my DVD players, the arrow buttons on the remote control do not do anything. I have to press the numerical buttons to select items, like 1, 2, 3 etc. (i cant just hit up or down).

Works that way on all of the menus, including the Chapter Select menu etc.

Did I do something wrong when creating/setting up the menu?

Any help in the topic would be greatly appreciated!!

When you preview it from Encore, does it automatically highlight a button?

Just a thought. Did you disable autoroute buttons in preferences and if so have you manually set up button routing (always the best way as the autorouting is not totally reliable unless all butons form nice straight lines).

Also, when you preview in Encore do you use your mouse to select buttons or use the arrow keys below the screen (simulating a remote control). You need to use the latter, not mouse over buttons, to be sure everything works before burning.

I did eventually figure out what the problem was. I did have Auto Routing selected but for some reason it was not setting paths for the arrows at all. So, I turned that off then used the manual process of pic whipping the arrows for each button in the menu where they should go etc.
