I enjoy making behind thes scenes shorts for the local brewery's superbowl spots, ect. This one is for this year's Daytona 500 and, being a car enthusiast, is one of my favorites so far so I thought I'd share it here:

Another well done documentary Grinner!. When you are doing your interviews who is asking the questions and who is handling the camera? Do you have an assistant? I have a couple of interview shoots coming up and I won't have any help. I don't want the interviewee's looking into the camera. What do you suggest?

You'll find holding the camera to the side and looking them in the eye brings their eye to yours. If you find someone use to being on camera, you can literally pick an object more offset and tell them to speak to it. They get it.
Most of the time, I'm talking with folks NOT use to being on camera. Hence the looking them in the eye. I do no count downs, hld no boom pole and put no lights in their face to increase deer in headlights vibe. You'll find it's very disarming to call dudes "dude". I'm not kidding. It makes me a dude with a camcorder... not TV.

Grinner,
Good job again.
We saw the Bud commercials on the Superbowl that you sent out. It was cool having a preview of them courtesy of you.
What camera did you use to shoot this Pit Stop piece?
