The DIY Intervalometer is done.
Did some tests with it over the past 2 days. Works great!
Might do a video later showing what it looks like/how it works if there's interest.

Shot this back in May and haven't touched it since. Until now, needed to free up some room for a new short we started filming yesterday. Another video shot around the same time and edited now coming soon.

I left some comments on Vimeo too. I love how you are incorporating your panning and rack-focus techniques. It is so effective in drawing the viewer into each scene and setting a mood. It's inspiring to watch you grow in this medium.

I might have missed it somewhere through the conversation, but I'm still waiting for a demo vid or description of the full rig you're using to get such wonderful shots.
You obviously have a fine eye for the shot; your cinematography in places is superb and you have a great ear for the right music, however I did notice some dodgy audio edits in the most recent piece with the river atmos. Some short cross dissolves on the nat-sound track would help smooth them out.
Similarly, while I understand part of the process is to try out techniques involving your kit, some shots benefit greatly from no introduced camera movement. The shot that most immediately springs to mind is the ladybird. I was definitely disappointed to see the shot suddenly rack focus to a foreground element that added nothing. There were a few others, particularly low angle looking across the foliage, where the shot could have done with less tilt.
And my final nitpick was that rather iconic silhouette of the tree in the Aftermatch video (should it actually be Aftermath?). The cut away from it surprised me a little as it happened close enough to revealing the top of the tree I was expecting to see it, but too soon to get that closure on the move.
Of course, these are all my own positive opinions and should in no way detract from the excellent work you're doing. If you can translate this into your career you'll do very well for yourself.

Thanks for your input, the thing with the audio on the recent video has something to do with the compression and I cannot figure out what it is!
The water sound just cuts of instead of fading out (like it's supposed to) it works fine in premiere and works fine on the full quality version. But for some reason the h264 version I uploaded to vimeo it just cuts.. I tried rendering soo many times with different settings still it just cuts. There are also some clips that were shot in 60p (output is 24) and for some reason I had to set them to 300% to get normal playback. This happened on like 3 or 4, the others worked like they were supposed to.
Both of these videos were, as you mentioned, to test the system. If I were to make a regular 2-3min video of just nature footage I would not have used the slider as much.
Actually about the tree, the location is a school I used to go to which is being torn down and there's a fence around it with several no-entry signs. While doing the tree shot someone came up behind me and told me I had to leave. A few frames after the video cuts the camera just baby feeding devices down super fast because I jumped up and let go of the tripod when the guy came up behind me :P
I am doing a video about the slider (I know it's been a long time since the first vid went up with it) I just need to borrow a second camera from a friend of mine. So I can have one camera on the slider and another one shooting me/slider.

Baby feeding devices?
I cannot remember writing this (nor can I remember what I actually wrote) but that definitely doesn't sound like something I wrote. Did someone edit my post?
Thanks King, a new 40sec animation coming later this week.

That's probably Curt's "naughty language" filter, which stops you from saying words like he||, g0d and... others without changing them for you.
I'd say you mis-spelled "tilts" and the filter changed it for you.

Here's a video I've been working on a while that required a lot of rotoscoping!
Not to mention timing on actual animation.

New short film.
My original idea was this; The end scene (specifically the 2 last clips) and I have a new awesome camera - running through the woods shot at 55mm will look great!. That was it. The rest was made up on location while shooting. For 2 days. It all worked out in the end though and the result is something weird, cool and exhilarating. Enjoy!

Thanks Janice!
Music is the most boring part imo. I wouldn't really say its the hardest but you have to be more picky and its harder to get the exact fit. It's easier to make it work with the visuals mainly because I'm so comfortable in ae. If something looks bad I can fix it. Or hide it. With audio - it has to be just right.
It does help to have a big library of sound effects and instrumental music.
