I finally bit the bullet and started playing around with Premiere Elements to see how it does with green screen. Here are the results! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FuqnGBTORXo actually... not too bad!

That seems simple enough in Elements. I've never used green screen, but may give it a try. I imagine it may be more detailed in Premiere CS3/CS4...

Nice job, Paul. smile.gif Entertaining, as always.

Not half bad for a relatively inexpensive NLE, eh?

Paul,

I hate to ask somebody to real their secrets, but would you be willing to do a tutorial on how you made that neat title?

Hopefully, thanks in advance.

Very nice Paul. I've heard good things about Premiere Elements and you have demonstrated one of them....very impressive. For the price of Elements it seems pretty versatile with a relatively easy learning curve. After using Premiere 6.5 for some time now...how do you compare that to Elements. Anything you can't do?

Thanks for your replies, group!
John... I did those very neat titles using a program I love called BluffTitler: http://www.outerspace-software.com/download.html Very easy to use with unlimited ways for you to adjust titles to your needs, and... not all that expensive!

Janice... I haven't used Elements that much yet but, so far, I am very pleased with it. One thing about the new PC is the rapid render time! That little green screen video would have taken me a couple hours at least to render on my XP platform. On the new computer, it took about a minute! Also, you saw how uneven the green was in the un-keyed footage but how cleanly it keyed out! That being said, I still miss 6.5

Thanks, Doogs... pretty elemental tut, but... it WAS for PElements... :o) I went to the link you posted and tried P6.5 in both my Lap top and my Desk top... nada, then tried the "Install old programs wizard"... nope... Then I tried to install PPro. It did sort of install on my Lap top but when I tried to run it, it just froze... Ah, well... guess I will stick with PElements for now. Thanks for trying!
