Just a first attempt with an AVCHD camera. I was disappointed with the jerkyness of the pans since they looked smooth when I did the DVD (Mpeg2).
I encoded with Adobe Media Encoder at a CBR of 4 to MPEG4. Downsized from 1920x1080 30P to 1280x720 30P.

Any thoughts on how to improve would be appreciated.

John, interesting with some nice technical touches. FYI, El Capitan is well known for BASE jumping...skydiving off the peak unless it is now outlawed. I now know how Yosemity Sam got his name. Was that your cameo shot by the tree? Dennis

When were there 30 years ago, we were up on Glacier Point, and some guy jumped off on a hang glider (I suppose he made it to the ground), but I didn't know they did it off El Capitan also. The guy by the tree was my former college roommate.
