I am creating a slideshow for the first time with CS4. I routinely use Encore for DVD authoring with no problem. I have subtitles on all 60 plus slides. I have not created a menu yet but when I preview the slideshow, even after rendering, the subtitle text does not show up in the preview. So far I cannot find anything in Help to explain. Anyone have an explanation? TIA Dennis
Other than the automatic pan and zoom feature, I'm not sure just doing a slideshow in Premiere is easier/better. Any comments?

Solution found. I noticed there is a toggle on/off subtitle button. Duh! From what I have been reading on forums, Encore is not going to take any prizes at the fair for best slideshow software! 
In that case have a look at ProShowGold.
