first hello...sorry for my long absence i am still dealing with a serious issue, but other than that i am fine and wanted to get this out.

i shot this back in 2007. started the project then stopped and finally finished it. my delay: first was finding a good song to use. then second a lot of the footage is out of focus. i was quite disenheartened to say the least.

my problem was i had hooked up a small LCD tv to use as a monitor and it was not even close to production level. i used it to save the camera battery keeping the lcd screen closed, but nope i couldn't really get good levels on it so at times i had no idea how dark my shot was and when i tried compensating on some footage it came out too bright...too glaring. also i had a widescreen lens that truly messed with my focusing..it was clean, but for some reason i couldn't get a good focus.

so here it is...

Rise Today

i will be changing the files over the next couple of days. the quicktime file to me is better than the windows. i'm changing the bitrates on both and then adding flash and divx versions. if you have a problem with either please let me know. i myself have had different results on different computers. trying to nail down something consistent.

thank you very much.
which one did you select because i think people are having a hard time with the windows version. i need to re-do that one.

okay...update. i changed and uploaded different files. i tried something and i may have overdone it, but just for the web i deinterlaced the footage then i applied the sharpen filter to boost the clarity. it looked okay to me, though i may have overdone the sharpen a tad. thing is though i now think that's a decent solution to deinterlacing and losing a field of resolution. true you don't get back that field, but it does fix the softness that occurs once you do deinterlace. now like i said that was just for the web. for the DVD it's staying as is.

so now there's quicktime, windows, and flash at lower file sizes just in case you didn't make it all the way through. i realize 100+ is a pretty time consuming download. hey i got satellite and it still took a tad long

and if you got to it i really didn't go all out on the slow motion sequence, but i did do it the way i described in my slow motion post. i was going to ramp the slow motion, but i only had a short window to fit it in so it would not have worked. i was fitting the slow motion to the song...which i edited by the way. what you hear is not in the song that's my own edit.

i think i figured out what was wrong with the windows version. i changed the audio from windows 10 back to 9.2 and left the video as advanced profile and it worked better. don't know how just changing the audio corrected the playback to that degree, but lesson learned..i guess.
