I've been using Encore 1.0 for a few years now and never really had this problem.

First, when I bring in a video from Premiere (as a DV AVI) and try to create a timeline, the program practically freezes. It doesn't actually freeze (doesn't show as not-responding in the task manager), but it doesn't do anything. I'm typically working with longer video clips - shorter video clips just take a while before the timeline loads.

My best guess was that the files were too large or something...even though I never had the problem before. So I started creating smaller files...which worked the last time I did it.

So a couple days ago I made a longer video and was having problems...so I converted it to a smaller file (mpg). The program used it just fine...I added chapters, menus, etc. When the DVD was made...the audio didn't match the video for the last 15 mins or so. Everything else was fine, but those last bits don't match. Everything matches in the preview window on Encore. I even made a disc image to burn with another program - but the image had audio-video problems as well.

I'm not sure what else to do? Why am I now having problems creating timelines? Why did the audio mismatch the video...only for the last section of the entire project?

If anyone has any clue, I'd sure appreciate it.

I run Windows XP Pro (service pack 2), Intel 4 2.02 processor, 1.25 gigs of RAM (upgrading to to 2 gigs this week).

thanks
