Full Version: Preview Problem With Mov-background

Hi!

I am using a mov-file with an animated background.

* Import mov-file
* drag&drop (clicking ALT-Button) the mov-file within a menu

Preview ok - animated background is animated :-)

* I add a button

Preview not ok - it seems that I can see frame 1 of the mov-file, but there is no animation.

Any ideas what´s wrong?

Thanks!
Ciao

Digo,

If you don't mind, I had a couple of questions.
1. I assume you took a simple background from the Encore (what version?) library and hit the "make new Menu" from the bottom of the palate.

2. Then after dragging in your motion menu, you went back to the Library and dragged a VIDEO button out of the library into the menu area .
3. Then you right clicked and hit Preview from Here, but there's no motion on the motion menu or video button.

The simplest cause would be that once you add the button, you have to go to File- Render- Render Motion menus, before you Preview again. Hopefully,that's right.

Hello John,

I am using Adobe Encore 2.0 - sorry I forgot to mention.

In fact - I did not know the menu-option "Render Motion menus" - now all is working fine.

Here is what I did:

I created a motion-video using AE and exported the video (MyMenuBG.mov)
Import as Asset: MyMenuBG.mov
New Menu (with BlankMenu WIDE.psd as DefaultMenu)
Drag&Drop MyMenuBG.mov within the menu
Preview: everything is fine
TextTool: MyButton
Object: Convert to Button
Preview: MyMenuBG.mov - no motion :-(

File->Render->Render Motion Menu
Preview: everyhting is fine - Digo is happy :-)

Thanks John!

Greetings from Austria
