i've made a motion video background for the dvd menu, ive watched suggested tutorials on motion backgrounds(earlier then cs3) and read the cs3 help files but i still cant seem to find the solution to my problem.

the method im using is taking premiere edited avi and applying it as the back ground, with the buttons done separately as jpegs.

the problem is when i preview it, only the audio plays according and the background is a freeze frame of the video i want as the background. however when i take the buttons off it loops accordingly.

specs: xp sp2, encore cs3, pp 1.5

any advice?

and did you render the menu before you previewed it??? go to FILE>RENDER>MOTION MENU (i think it's the same way for CS3...) also remember that if you make any changes to the menu by adding things to it you will have to re-render again..
