I have made a project, and now i want to add a chapter playlist. Once i add one i get these errormessages when i try to "preview" the menu.
"internal software error: .\Navulator\CTimeMapBuilder.cpp, line 71"
-- I PRESS OK --
"internal software error: .\Plans\TitlePlan\VIDEOTSLayout.cpp, line 828"
-- I PRESS OK --
pressing ok maby 150 - 200 times makes the last error message go away and i am back to encore.
I delete the chapter playlist and then try preview again. Voila. No error

anyone have any suggestions?

More than 19 from a single timeline is bad. That's an "undocumented feature" in the current version of Encore.
Are you using a shared network drive or an external drive to store your project and/or media files?

ok.. ill try to keep it to a minimum then

all my files are on the same drive...
some more info:
- i have one (1) timeline
- i have one (1) asset on the timeline (.avi) wich i am adding chapters to...

Ok.. ill try to do this step by step.
I delete my timeline and all my chapters are gone.
1. I create a new timeline from my only .avi-asset.
2. I create a chapter playlist and add the timeline and the only chapter i have (chapter 1 that is at the very beginning of the avi.)
3. I set that my menuitem is going to play the chapter playlist.
4. I preview. Result: the menu is previewd like it should and the "playall" feature starts the movie.
5. I add a new chapter to the same .avi-asset.
6. I add the new chapter to the chapter playlist
7. I preview. Result: "internal software error: .\Navulator\CTimeMapBuilder.cpp, line 71". <OK> "internal software error: .\Plans\TitlePlan\VIDEOTSLayout.cpp, line 828"
8. I remove chapter 2 from the playlist.
9. I preview. Result: same as nr. 4. Works fine.
Any ideas?

How close together (in terms of time) are the chapters when you get the error?
Is the drive you are using for storage/preview set to allow sharing? I wasn't sure from your response if it was.
I keep asking about sharing because I've only heard of these 2 errors twice before. For one user, turning off sharing solved the problem. I don't know what happened to the other user because he never posted back.

Hmm... the partition i use was shared. I turned off the share, still no go

there is about 53,11 sec between chapter one and two...

The only remaining thing that I can think of is to turn off sharing (temporarily if necessary) for all partitions on that physical drive, then reboot. Try your playlist again after rebooting.
Other than that, I can't think of what could possibly be wrong.

I can understand your frustration.
As I said, almost a year after Encore 2.0's release, this is only the third time that anyone has brought up this issue. That means it's really rare and system-specific.
It's also possible that your project has been corrupted somehow, or there's something funky with your media. Try starting a new project with different media and see if you can create a timeline with a couple of chapters, a chapter playlist and then preview. Does the error still occur?

Even I have trawled the adobe.com forums trying to locate an answer for you...but with no joy.
Only thing i can suggest you do is to maybe edit your single timeline in your video editor and then create 2-3 seperate timelines to see if that offers any cure to the problem... a bit of a pain i know... but it may or may not resolve the problem

Hi,
I know this is a very old post but internet has a great memory...so it could be usefull for anyone.
I had the same problem and I find that was generated by audio track in my timeline. So I delete audio track and changed with a new mp3 audio track.
It works.
Hope this helps someone.
Bye.
