hi all
i did a search about motion buttons and have read some threads on the site, but there is nothing like i want to do.
basically i want to use text as buttons.
BUT .... in the highlight state, i want the text to 'jump around' (eg move down 30 pixels, then move back up 30 pixels, then move to the right 30 pixels, then move back left 30 pixels (to the original position). and i want this to loop as long as the button is in the highlight state.
is this possible ??
and how would i go about doing it ??
(would i have to make each button a movie file??)
thanx

Hmmmmmmm.....
Could be done with a "motion menu" and the use of invisble buttons and highlights... but having said that, how is the user going to know how or where the selection is for navigation.... that would be something you would have to work on....

Doogs thanx for your reply.
basically i want 3 text buttons on the screen, that would be spaced.
Graphics
2D Animation
3D animation
and the highlight state would have a different coloured text and move around like i said above.
when the button is not highlighted it would be a normal colour (say white) and it would not move at all.
I hope i have made what i want to do a little clearer.

you would need seperate motion menus with the animated highlighted state, and have it all set up to act kinda like a "transition". so in effect when the viewer makes a selection then the "animated" menu would show and then have its end action to play the timeline. there may be a little bit of black video showing before the "animated" menu kicks in after the selection has been made.
Menu-"with white static highlight"(use white activated highlight with this menu), its "end action" to play the "animated menu" with it's end action to play the timeline, with timelines "end action" to return to "main menu"

I only have a tutorial for creating very basic "menu transitions", wether you could adapt the concept to your own needs, i cant say...
it is tutorial #7 in the Intermediate section of my site....
