I was looking around at some of my competitor's web sites and saw this video
http://www.emergentvisions.com./html/video.htmlI thought it was just bad...
I would never have a bride run through the surf in her wedding dress or drag it along a street....where's the groom????
There are a few shots that would make a good intro but where's the ceremony???
Just thought I would share

It has the makings of a good commercial for a dry cleaner...
I've got to wait for a few hours to download as our Net is down.

That was pretty bizzare.
Ive seen others "similar" to that. They call them "bridal elegance" videos. A highlight of the bride. This one though almost seemed like she was being chased.

You didn't know Mitch? This was a piece that was cut from the movie, "Runnaway Bride". I'm assuming this was shot after the wedding as the dress is probably ruined.

Michael,
When I was watching it I was thinking....Ok they hired a woman or friend to run around in her wedding dress, no bride would do this...
Curt,
That's a new one to me. Certainly I see photographers shoot a few pictures of the bride and groom at a park or something as a good looking background. I have a few of those in one of my videos (they posed for pictures at a Japanese Rose Garden after the ceremony and before the reception) and I think at least some of these turned out well....just curious, any good examples of "bridal elegance" you could point to?

Curt,
Thanks for the links. I think some worked Ok....a lot looked too posed, which comes off poorly on video. It is a real art to get posed photos and videos look natural....

I don't like the 'contrived' things at all..
There certainly are enough things going on during a normal wedding that make this kind of stuff unneeded. But hey, if someone finds a way to market it to the B&G... good for them... For me, it's not enough bang for the (small) buck.

Hmm, interesting. I don't think I care much for this kind of footage myself but if you can find someone to pay you to make then hey.... I guess I would to.
