Here is a link to a trailer I have made for an upcoming DVD (note that the "Continue to Site" button does not work yet):

http://www.fatsmack.com/shaolin/website/index.html

"Shaolin Legends" is basically the Shaolin Grandmaster telling some of the legends of the Shaolin art. So in many ways, it's a documentary. The first two DVDs suffered from poor production value and we are trying to step things up a little.

This is my first real trailer attempt, and the first attempt at editing a project this big. So any comments are more than welcome.

Thanks for looking!

I can't get it to play

Its downloading very slow from the server that could be the reason why you're having trouble playing it. Try this link Right Click and Save As

Not bad for a your first trailer attempt! Looks really good.

Where was it filmed?

Sorry about the slow download. I hope you were able to see it. The host I use, readyhosting, is only $50 per YEAR for 500 MEGS of space and supposedly unlimited bandwidth, but their speed is only so-so. The final version of the site won't be hosted with them.

BMS - Thanks for your comments! It was filmed at Life University in Marietta, GA (just outside of Atlanta). They have this 19th century village set up with a good nature trail and even a waterfall. An excellent, natural setting for the film with a lot of good and different locations.

Darryl,

I don't know anything about Shaolin Legends, but it looks like it would be a fascinating show. The Shaolin Master you have on the Trailer looks to be a real character.

You may want to include a download link on the site, that way at least the user can see its downloading.

I liked it very much.... you did a great job. I am very surprised that it is so cheap. He should get at least 20 bucks.

One thing I would suggest, as a trailer, is more action rather than talking head. Some nice shots of the talent going through his moves in that beautiful forest with a voice over will sell far more videos than a mid shot of him talking.

I also found the audio levels were a bit off. The talent was very low in the mix.

BMS, the guy in the trailer is our Shaolin Grandmaster, Sin Kwang The. He's in his mid 60's, and was voted one of the top ten most dangerous men in the world. However, I don't think I've ever met a more humble and sincere guy.

Again, thanks for looking and for the comments. One question: if this were saved as streaming, would it start before it finished downloading, or would I need a streaming server?
