Hi Mitch, GPS now that is a great tool.
As a matter of fact, I teach the use of GPS to Scouts for navigation purposes and introduce them to the past time of Geo-caching. I have a Garmin Etrex that is hooked into my laptop via USB which has all the 2.5" OS maps of the UK installed. Very useful it is too as it gives real time readout of where we are, the speed we are traveling, direction and hight above sea level, all usefull stuff. I recently bought another 3 Garmin for the Scouts to use. They carry them on hikes as well as 5 Kilometer range walkie talkies, they only have to give us the 8 figure grid reference from the garmin and we know exactly where they are. That's after, doing the housework, re-decorating, getting the shopping, doing the garden, etc, etc, etc, |

Yes Mitch, i 've been looking for it for ages.
i don't trust myself to put everything on one small phone/ PDA thingies, I managed to drop my phone down the toilet not too long ago, I took it to the phone shop and said "I managed to drop this in the bath, can you help?" and the chap said "Well I hope you flushed it before you put your hand in...." i creased up and he said "I thought so, we hear the bath excuse about five times a week, funny that really, nobody seems to drop them down the toilet like we do." Well Ham i lton clearly Scouting isn't what it was, we used to rub two Girl Guides together until they told us where to go .... or caught fire of course. -------------------- A Scot located in Paris France

Just for info for those of us that live in the UK.
You can nip over to France and buy the Iphone over the counter and put any Sim card in it you like. French law prohibits suppliers tying phones to specific networks. link Best wishes Hamilton -------------------- Looking forward to relaxation and not having to drive into work after 43 years.

I personally prefer the N95 and don't think other will make such an impact. N95 8GB is considered to be the best mobile phone ever made. It's definitely a super phone which excels in all departments - mobile telephony, still photography, video recording, music, gaming, Internet surfing, and many other things. Man, I don't even have a cell phone and the only reason I use a GPS is to plot the holes on the local golf course. I can see a cell phone would be very useful in certain kinds of business but it's mosty an electronic leash and I have no desire to live my life by concensus. I can dedcide for myself what kind of groceries to buy.
